Our Kennel

Welcome to our kennel. We are located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, on four wooded acres, just east of Roanoke – not too far from Smith Mountain Lake. We are about 25 minutes from Interstate 81, and 15 minutes from U. S. Route 460.

When they aren't in the house with us, our Chessies live in kennels that are clean, well-ventilated, with heating and air conditioning. Our kennel consists of three separate buildings, with several runs. Both the inside and outside runs are good-sized, with some exceeding 100 square feet. It is essential that large-breed dogs have plenty of space to move around in. We also have a large, fenced-in area where they can run around.

The mission of our kennel is to maintain the integrity of the original Chesapeake Bay Retriever through careful and responsible breeding. We are interested in perpetuating only the finest bloodlines to ensure that our litters are strong and healthy, have good temperament, and are striking in appearance.
